Telemetry RN Travel Job Details

• Location: Dayton, Ohio (45409) – Ohio nursing jobs
• Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: Observation/Telemetry (40 beds)
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 - 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48-hour contract)
• Contract Length: 16-20 weeks preferred (13 weeks accepted)
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: February 2, 2026
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Required (every other weekend/holiday)
• Floating: Must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units and between campuses (within 15 miles)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910–$1960 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (any state; compact nursing license accepted)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (Level 1 or Level 2 hospital preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float to various units and campuses as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• No local candidates (must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Dayton, Ohio)

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced telemetry/observation unit
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, interpret EKG strips, and titrate cardiac/insulin drips
• Care for patient populations including chest pain, syncope, vertigo, abdominal pain, CHF, COPD, cellulitis/IV antibiotics, stroke rule outs, and TIAs
• Collaborate in a team nursing model with RNs, LPNs, and PCTs to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to stepdown and advanced care units as needed, supporting the clinical healthcare team
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules (up to 24 hours)
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures, including PPE fitting for N95 or PAPR
