Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and products.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to assess material conformity.
• Document inspection results accurately and completely in relevant quality management systems or forms.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming materials, initiating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
• Communicate inspection findings and potential issues to relevant departments (e.g., Purchasing, Engineering, Production).
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established schedules and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency in using a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail to identify visual and dimensional defects.
• Basic understanding of quality control principles and inspection methodologies.
• Competency in documenting inspection results and non-conformances accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with ERP or Quality Management System (QMS) software.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, 8D).
• Experience operating advanced measurement equipment (e.g., CMM, vision systems).
• Basic knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) principles.
