Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard analyses, and workplace inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
• Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Oversee hazardous waste management, air emissions, wastewater discharge, and other environmental compliance initiatives.
• Lead internal EHS audits and inspections, tracking performance metrics and driving continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related science field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with a track record of driving EHS culture and continuous improvement.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience managing EHS in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with enterprise EHS management software (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera).
• Fluency in Spanish or other relevant languages for the local workforce.
• Certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or similar management system audit experience.
