Caster Helper

1. M elting and Pouring different types of alloys into ceramic (shell) Molds
2. Daily checks of alloys
3. Proper use of tools and equipment
4. Inspect crucibles daily
5. Use of melting and ramming furnace
6. Proper safety practices by utilizing all PPE including glasses, spats, boots, coats, etc. as well as maintaining housekeeping standards
7. Communicate with supervisor as necessary regarding damaged equipment, safety issues or any situation requiring resolution.
8. Understanding the hazardous material used, the effects of temperature changes on metal
9. Understand and implement AS9100 procedures as appropriate to your department

Knowledge and Skills Needed

• Previous manufacturing preferred but not necessary
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
• Ability to withstand high temperatures
• Strong attentional to detail
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly
