Responsibilities
- Set up and monitor CT scanning procedures; operate CT equipment and position patients using safe lifting techniques; apply immobilization devices as needed
- Verify patient identity and obtain pertinent medical history, including known allergies
- Properly prepare and administer intravenous contrast media as needed per Radiologist protocol
- Acquire CT images and ensure they are stored in the patient’s permanent record; manage electronic/digital storage and transfer
- Coordinate daily patient scheduling with the work-room technician; assist Radiologists with specialized CT procedures
- Maintain image quality and perform daily calibration/quality control following department guidelines; report and facilitate needed equipment maintenance per MRMC protocols
- Monitor patients for allergic reactions; respond to emergencies with basic CPR; uphold current safety standards and a clean work environment
- Contribute to regulatory compliance and quality improvement activities; assist in training new personnel as needed

Requirements
- 2+ years CT scanning experience (REQUIRED)
- Philips CT equipment experience (REQUIRED)
- ARRT certification with CT specialty and BLS certification (REQUIRED)
- Travel experience (PREFERRED)
- Ability to work the specified shift (11:00 AM–9:30 PM) in a hospital CT setting; ability to transfer and position patients safely
