Position Overview:

GPS is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Spanish and ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to join our faculty. This position is ideal for an educator who is enthusiastic about language instruction, culturally responsive teaching, and helping students become confident multilingual communicators. The successful candidate will teach both Spanish language courses and ESL support classes for English language learners.

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials.

· Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that align with the program goals.

· Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.

· Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning experience.

· Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.

· Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in education, Spanish, or a related field.

· Valid teaching credential or license for the appropriate grade level and subject. Preference for an ESL endorsement or the willingness to obtain an ESL endorsement.

· Proficiency in both Spanish and English required.

· Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Commitment to fostering a love of learning and promoting cultural diversity.
