Kitchen Utility Worker (Full-Time) – Dining Room
Allegria Village, a senior living community in Dearborn, is seeking a full-t ime Kitchen Utility Worker to support the Dining Room in our Independent Living community.
Schedule
- Full-time; 37.5 hours per week, with rotating weekends
Position Summary
The Kitchen Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas, supporting food service operations, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, equipment, and workspaces
- Properly store clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Operate dish machines according to established procedures
- Follow guidelines for chemical use and waste control
- Perform general cleaning duties in kitchen and storage areas
- Ensure all stored food items are properly labeled and dated
- Wash dishes and kitchen equipment used for meal service and food preparation
- Support servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Follow all infection control policies and procedures to prevent foodborne illness
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dishwasher or kitchen utility worker required
- Experience in a senior living or healthcare setting is a plus
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
