Java Developer

Role: Java Engineer

Location: Remote but no pst time zones

Duration: Contract/ Fulltime

We have a Sr. Engineer contract to hire position open on my team I would like your help with. Most if not all of you, have helped staff a Sr. Engineer role in the past, but sharing for consistency and transparency. Let me know as you look through the qualifications if you have any questions. Would like to bring someone on asap.

Ability to design and engineer software solutions, including documenting, collaborating, and aligning with portfolio architects, solution architects, and the local team.

Strong ability to communicate, facilitate, educate within a group setting.

Strong ability to collaborate with others to solve local problems or complex design solutions both in and outside the team.

Ability to balance problem solving or working on for a variety of systems unrelated to one another.

Passion and appetite to drive technical improvements with the goal of speeding up delivery.

Assist, coach, and mentor other engineers on the team with day-to-day challenges, complex coding issues and/or problem solving.

The ability to translate and communicate complex technical issues into simple terms so other non-technical people outside of technology can understand.

Experienced in maturing devops and engineering practices.

Experience in engineering of either existing or new solutions, enterprise integrations patterns, and/or microservices architecture.

Passion for continuous learning and sharing learnings with others.

Ability to solve complex problems into sustainable and long term solutions

Technical/Tool Experience

10+ years in Java, spring framework

2+ years using Openshift, event driven technologies (Kafka, Rabbit)

5+ years leveraging database platforms (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo)

3+ years with event driven and microservices design

3+ years of data analysis, business rules, new data sourcing discovery

3+ years using GitHub, devops practices, and tools
