Shipping/Receiving Clerk
1st Shift Shipping Clerk
📍 Shipping Department | Hourly Position
We are currently seeking a 1st Shift Shipping Clerk to support shipping operations and ensure accurate communication and documentation for the flow of materials from the plant to customers.
Responsibilities
- Answer shipping office phone calls and assist with inquiries
- Monitor and respond to internal and external emails regarding schedule requests, changes, shortages, and expedites
- Schedule incoming and outgoing customer trucks
- Process shipping records and maintain customer websites
- Handle documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments, including small parcel shipments (FedEx/UPS – domestic and international)
- Maintain shipping files for company-wide access
- Communicate shipment information and customer requests to the appropriate departments
- Ensure all customer-specific shipping requirements are met accurately and on time
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of shipping clerk experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Plex systems preferred
- Basic Excel skills
- Forklift license required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
