Job Overview:
Hamtramck Recycling LLC is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Yard Truck Spotter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for moving trailers within the yard, positioning them at loading docks, and ensuring efficient yard operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating yard trucks and be committed to maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a yard truck to move trailers within the facility.
- Spot trailers at loading docks for loading and unloading.
- Maintain organized trailer placement and inventory within the yard.
- Inspect trailers for any safety or maintenance issues.
- Assist in ensuring smooth operations in the yard by coordinating with warehouse and dock teams.
- Follow all safety guidelines and report any hazards or accidents immediately.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on the yard truck as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a yard spotter or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate yard trucks safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends, if necessary.
