Job Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to work at our facility in Sparta, Michigan . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating Skytrak Telehandler equipment and be comfortable handling oversized and heavy industrial materials in an active work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Skytrak equipment to safely load and unload oversized loads from semi-trailers
- Load large steel parts onto carts and transport materials in and out of buildings
- Maneuver equipment in tight or active work areas while maintaining full situational awareness
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times
- Ensure the safety of yourself, coworkers, and surrounding personnel during equipment operation
- Perform basic equipment inspections and report any issues or maintenance needs
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating Skytrak or similar heavy equipment
- Experience handling oversized loads and large steel components
- Strong understanding of workplace and equipment safety standards
- High level of attention to surroundings and potential hazards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility
- Forklift or equipment operation certifications (if applicable)
Work Environment
- Industrial facility with frequent movement of large equipment and materials
- Requires consistent focus on safety and communication
