Mortgage Consultant (Mortgage Loan Officer) - Remote | WFH

What You'll Be Doing: As our Mortgage Consultant, you will: Originate first mortgages, conducting pre-qualification interviews and preparing loan application packages.
Communicate credit policies and guidelines to members, ensuring a smooth process.
Focus on consultative phone selling, prospecting, and member service.
Utilize various lead sources (referrals, call lists, phone queue, self-generated) to drive mortgage origination.
Use a consultative approach to identify and meet member needs, offering effective solutions and cross-selling products.
Cultivate and maintain external referral sources through networking and follow-up.
Travel throughout the branch network to strengthen relationships and drive mortgage loan growth.
Provide consistent feedback and communication to applicants, informing them of loan status.

Has familiarity with secondary mortgage market underwriting and consumer lending regulations.
Essential Preparation and Experience: High school diploma or GED; and
Either 1 year of mortgage origination experience; or
2 years of mortgage banking experience or relevant lending experience in other roles; or
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or Finance; or
3 years of analytical finance experience.
Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) licensure is highly preferred.
What We Offer: Base pay of $19.25 per hour.
Eligibility to earn incentives through our variable compensation plan.
