SUMMARY
- Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce products commonly weighting 50 pounds or less by performing the following duties. This position may require overtime to include weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together and performs quality inspection of completed parts. Packs completed parts.
- Conducts month-end inventory of completed and in-process parts.
- May be required to work off shifts as needed.
- May work in other areas of either plant based on production requirements.
- Places parts in specified relationship to each other according to work instructions and/or prints that are provided. Updates work instructions as procedures change.
- Receives and gives backup support from other assembly or production personnel.
- Reworks parts for assembly as required.
- Works at different workstations as production needs require and maintains organization of work areas.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
