Responsibilities

As the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) global data specialist, you will be responsible for the following when data is shared externally to MDOT:

• Managing MDOT’s master and reference data repository.
• Serving as a key link in supporting information governance-related policies and goals as an information steward on the Information Stewards Board to:
• Fulfill information governance objectives
• Adhere to department data standards and policies
• Ensure data integrity and good data management
• Provide business analytics and business intelligence services such as research, analysis and dashboard/scorecard creation related to MDOT’s master and reference data.

Required Education And Experience

Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Preferred concentration in data analytics, data science, computer science, management information systems, finance, statistics, or related fields.

Experience

Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.

Preferred concentration in data analytics, data science, computer science, management information systems, finance, statistics, or related fields.
