Position PurposeThis position is responsible for greeting members over the phone; courteously and professionally while speaking to them about Vibe Credit Union's consumer loan products. Additionally, the Specialist cross-sells services and products, process other financial services, updates and maintains records.
Essential Duties- Meets established Sales and Service goals
- Has comprehensive knowledge of the Credit Union's products and services and cross sells them to members
- Competently interviews members and potential members by phone and educates them about various consumer loan products
- Determines membership eligibility for non-members interested in obtaining a loan
- Answers member questions and assists members with resolving account disputes; researches and corrects errors
- Processes consumer loans from application origination through disbursement, which includes interviewing an applicant, obtaining financial data, completing application, running credit bureau reports, verifying employment, income, and financial obligations
- Performs credit counseling including which products fit their needs
- Understands regulations and internal policies related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and completes annual training
- Other duties may be assigned
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of member services and products
- One to three years of related experience
- Sales experience required
- Excellent phone communication skills
- Works well under pressure in a busy work environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be able to correspond effectively with members
