The Program Manager – ePLC/eHBCU is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all aspects of PLC’s virtual instruction through the ePLC and eHBCU systems. This includes end-to-end program administration, faculty and student coordination, virtual learning technology support, and serving as the Student Mentor within the eHBCU platform for all PLC-enrolled students. This individual ensures high-quality, engaging, and accessible virtual learning experiences, driving student success and retention across all online programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Administration & Coordination (30%)
• Coordinate and manage all virtual instruction programs offered through ePLC/eHBCU, from pre-class preparation through post-class closeout.
• Maintain and update program curriculum and materials in alignment with faculty input, industry standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with PLC Chairs, instructors, and internal teams to schedule classes, align learning outcomes, and manage virtual course logistics.
• Provide administrative support to faculty, including communications, document management, and reporting.
Student Mentorship & Engagement (25%)
• Serve as primary Mentor for all PLC students enrolled through eHBCU, monitoring progress, providing coaching, and ensuring timely intervention for at-risk students.
• Host virtual office hours, workshops, and community-building activities to enhance student belonging and persistence.
• Track student performance metrics and share data with CAO, faculty, and student support teams.
Virtual Learning Platform Management (20%)
• Administer eHBCU and ePLC platforms, ensuring course shells are accurate, live sessions are scheduled, and resources are accessible.
• Provide first-line troubleshooting for students and faculty experiencing technical issues; escalate to IT as needed.
• Collaborate with IT Manager to improve user experience, accessibility, and technology reliability.
Brand & Partner Engagement (15%)
• Coordinate with corporate and education partners to support brand engagement during virtual programs.
• Collaborate with Marketing to promote ePLC programs, share success stories, and build visibility for virtual learning initiatives.
• Serve as liaison to eHBCU partner network to ensure PLC’s alignment with system-wide standards and opportunities.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting (10%)
• Collect and analyze program data to inform quality improvement and retention strategies.
• Prepare program performance reports for PLC leadership and accreditation documentation.
• Research best practices in virtual learning and recommend innovations for ePLC.
TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Program Management, or related field (Master’s preferred). • 3+ years of experience in program coordination or academic operations, preferably in higher education or virtual learning environments. • Experience mentoring or advising students, ideally in a higher education context. • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, MS Teams), and student engagement tools. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and virtual facilitation). • Commitment to PLC Detroit’s mission, values, and dedication to serving a diverse student population.
