Inventory Control Manager | Portage, MI

Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust inventory control procedures and policies.
• Oversee and execute regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
• Analyze inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize stock, minimize obsolescence, and support production schedules.
• Monitor and report on key inventory performance indicators (KPIs) such as accuracy, turns, and service levels.
• Ensure accurate data entry and effective utilization of the ERP/WMS system for all inventory transactions.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing teams to improve material flow and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for inventory management.
• Demonstrated understanding of inventory management principles, including forecasting, cycle counting, and optimization techniques (e.g., Lean, JIT).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma certification
• Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Experience with warehouse automation or robotics technologies
