TEC Group is seeking a Senior Estimator with a strong background in General Contracting (GC) and pre-construction services for our client. You will lead the estimating process on a variety of commercial and industrial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates from conceptual through final design.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Participate in project walk-throughs and pre-bid meetings.
- Collaborate closely with project manager and clients during pre-construction.
- Identify risk factors, review subcontractor scopes, and ensure comprehensive bid coverage.
- Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor quotes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of estimating experience in the commercial and/or industrial construction industry.
- Proven background in GC-level estimating and pre-construction planning.
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
- Proficient with estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, ProEst, or similar).
- Construction Management experience helpful
