Line Cook

Hidden Gem Restaurant is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the Executive Chef.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Monitor inventory and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with daily cleaning and sanitation of kitchen.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet the needs of the restaurant.
• Assist with special events and catering as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in a hot and humid environment.
