ADMIN ASSISTANT

Minimum Rate: $37,000/year Maximum Houlry Rate: $50,000/year

Summary

Under limited supervision, directs all facets of the operations of the school’s office including student registration and records, class schedules, special education compliance and deadlines, graduation clearance, and other related matters. Plans and develops strategies for maintenance and upgrading of academic information infrastructure.

About the Position

1. Maintains and upgrades the school’s academic information infrastructures including academic records archives (paper and electronic), on-line student database (Infinite Campus), student’s special education paperwork and timelines (Enrich data system), daily attendance, other electronic databases and information systems for all students.
2. Establishes and implements short- and long-range department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness; effects changes required for improvement.
3. Represents the school to various hospital departments as well as externally to governmental agencies, vendors, students, parents, and/or the general public.
4. Recommends and participates in the development of school policies and procedures; may serve on hospital planning and policy-making committees.
5. Collaborates with representatives of the Colorado Department of Education, and other national, state, and local organizations on the development and implementation of new requirements and practices.
6. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education/Licensure

• Bachelor's degree; previous experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
• Substitute teaching license or ability to obtain license preferred.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Knowledge of records archiving and/or retrieval.
• Ability to provide technical advice and information to faculty in area of expertise.

Conditions of Employment

• Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the hospital's influenza/COVID-19 vaccination requirement.
• Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to become certified in the hospital’s de-escalation and physical management training.
• Employees must pass background checks and drug screening to work with children.
