Catering Chef

An established and growing catering company serving the Detroit / Oakland–Wayne County area is looking for a hands-on Catering Chef to join our team.

This is not a desk or title role. You’ll be cooking, prepping, organizing, shopping, and helping execute events. You’ll also be working closely with the team and ownership to keep standards high and the operation moving forward.

• Prep, cook, and plate food daily

• Help maintain kitchen organization and quality standards

• Assist with shopping, inventory, and ordering

• Support event setup and food delivery

• Communicate, support, and help develop the team

• Someone with a real love for food and hospitality

• A person who enjoys teaching and learning

• Calm, dependable, and consistent

• Comfortable working within a system — and helping improve it over time

• Takes pride in creating food that people enjoy

• Leads by example, not by title

Technical skill matters. Character matters more.

• Primarily daytime work

• Rare night work and rare weekend events

• Closed major holidays

• Paid seasonal breaks (summer & winter)

• Stable operation with room to grow
