We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team in Saranac, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for driving HR strategies and initiatives that enhance employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and compliance with labor laws. This position offers an opportunity to lead key HR functions, including employee relations, training and development, and policy management, while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities:• Lead performance management processes, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to managers and employees.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal labor regulations, as well as company policies.
• Address employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies for improving employee engagement and retention.
• Analyze data from employee surveys and interviews to identify trends and recommend solutions.
• Design and deliver training programs to support leadership development and workforce growth.
• Implement HR policies and programs that align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
• Advise leaders on compensation decisions, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
• Drive initiatives to strengthen company culture, including safety programs and inclusion efforts.
• Maintain accurate personnel records and oversee compliance with audits and reporting requirements.• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, including substantial employee relations exposure in multi-site operations environments.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment.
• Experience advising and collaborating with leaders across organizational levels.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is highly desirable.
