Job Description
Join our team as a Production Operator where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production line, maintaining quality standards, and promoting safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment of the production line.
- Perform cleanings during set-down times and product changeovers.
- Load, unload, and move items as assigned.
- Sort, bundle, and fill containers or place items in assembled units.
- Mark or place identifying labels on product loads, ensuring proper coding of finished products.
- Record the movement of stock in and out of work areas.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
- Monitor materials, products, and equipment at each step of the process and report irregularities to the supervisor.
- Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees, notifying them of any problems that may restrict efficiency.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out clearly, legibly, and accurately.
- Utilize continuous improvement mindset to assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Adhere to all required work safe practices, including wearing PPE in designated areas and following safety protocols.
- Report any food safety and quality-related issues to management immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Experience in production, assembly, and machine operation.
- General production knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operating difficulties.
- Experience with continuous improvement processes and good manufacturing practices.

Work Environment
The work environment involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and forklifts, with occasional exposure to wet, humid, or cold conditions. The noise level may be loud, and the role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

This is a Permanent position based out of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $54080.00/yr.
