Position Overview

Are you looking to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life? Proactive Hospice Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Hospice Volunteers to join our team. Volunteers provide essential support to patients, families, and caregivers by offering companionship, assistance, and a comforting presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Companionship : Spend time with patients by reading, talking, listening, or simply being present.
• Family Support : Provide emotional support to families and caregivers.
• Practical Assistance : Help with errands, light housekeeping, or preparing small meals.
• Administrative Support : Assist the office staff with filing, answering phones, or other clerical duties.
• Special Skills : Share your unique talents (e.g., music, art, or pet therapy) to bring comfort to patients.

Qualifications

• A kind and empathetic demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Must be at least 18 years old (or meet local age requirements).
• Willingness to complete training provided by Proactive Hospice Care.
