Software technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Technician to join our automotive diagnostics team. This role focuses heavily on vehicle communication systems, diagnostics, and ECU flashing using industry-standard tools. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of CAN communication and hands-on experience with Vector tools. Key Responsibilities: - Perform diagnostics and ECU flashing on automotive systems using Vector tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer, vFlash). - Support development and validation of vehicle communication protocols via CAN. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to vehicle software and communication. - Collaborate with engineering teams to execute test plans and document results. - Maintain accurate records of flashing activities and diagnostic procedures. - Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all operations. Required Qualifications: - Associate's degree or technical certification in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field. - Basic understanding of CAN communication protocols. - Familiarity with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, vFlash). - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in automotive diagnostics or ECU flashing. - Knowledge of UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) and automotive communication standards. - Prior experience working in a manufacturing or vehicle testing environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
