Emergency Medicine Physician

Marshfield Medical Center Dickinson is seeking an Emergency Med Physician Assistant to join our team in Iron Mountain, Michigan . The Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner/PA Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner/PA License in the State of Wisconsin. This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.

0.6 FTE or 0.9 FTE available.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

For Nurse Practitioners - Completion of a master s, post-master s, or doctorate from a nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing for advanced practice.

For Physician Assistants - Master s or Baccalaureate degree. Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors. Successful completion of the national certifying examination and current certification given by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
