Key Responsibilities

• Perform various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) on different materials (e.g., steel, aluminum).
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols to determine proper welding techniques and dimensions.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, ensuring they meet specified standards, tolerances, and structural integrity.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on welding machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick/SMAW).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Demonstrated knowledge of welding safety procedures and best practices.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks in various positions.
• AWS certification (e.g., D1.1, D1.2) or equivalent verifiable experience.

Bonus Qualifications

• AWS D1.1 or other advanced welding certifications
• Experience with robotic or automated welding systems
• Proficiency in reading complex blueprints and advanced welding symbols
• Familiarity with various exotic materials or specialized alloys
• Experience with basic NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods or quality control procedures
