Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior machinists, providing training and technical guidance.
• Operate, program, and set up advanced CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Perform complex machine setups, tooling selection, and first-off part inspections.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot machining issues, implementing effective corrective actions.
• Optimize machining processes and CNC programs for efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
• Ensure all manufactured components meet strict quality standards and production deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical challenges and improve workflows.

Recommended Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a precision machinist, including expert setup and operation of diverse CNC and manual machinery.
• Demonstrated proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, M-code), CAD/CAM software, and interpreting complex engineering blueprints.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and train junior machinists, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Expertise in using a wide range of precision measuring instruments and performing rigorous quality control inspections.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for machining processes, tooling, and material challenges.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in 5-axis CNC programming or complex surfacing.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in designing custom tooling or fixtures.
