AP/AR Specialist + Staff Accountant

Full-Time | Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

$25–$30/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AP/AR Specialist + Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient daily operations. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and entry into the accounting system
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and process check runs and electronic payments
• Maintain vendor records and support vendor communication

Accounts Receivable

• Generate and distribute customer invoices
• Apply incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies

Staff Accounting Duties

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support financial reporting and general ledger maintenance
• Assist with audits and financial documentation as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records

Qualifications:

• Previous AP/AR and general accounting experience required
• JD Edwards experience highly preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Work Environment & Schedule:

• Full-time position
• Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-site position located in Wyoming
