Optometry Assistant

We are seeking someone who is friendly, organized and flexible to join our team. We are a small optometric practice that takes a unique approach to eye care by combining traditional optometry with lifestyle medicine. Our goal is to improve not only patients vision and eye health, but give them the tools to improve their overall health as well.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phones, schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Verify insurances, vision care plans and process optical and medical billing
- Contact lens ordering and dispensing
- Contribute to social media posts and design promotional items
- Help where ever needed in the office
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a vision care office
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Familiarity with EHR (Revolution EHR a plus)
- An interest in health, nutrition and wellness
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task
- Familiarity with contact lenses, optical dispensing and billing (optical and medical)
