Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Canton, MI is seeking a skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to support K-12 students throughout the upcoming school year. This contracted position is ideal for professionals specializing in school psychology who are passionate about fostering student success and well-being in an educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students in grades K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists.
- Provide counseling and interventions to support students academic, social, and emotional development.
- Consult with educators and administration to design strategies that promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust support plans as necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expert recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, psychological principles, and federal and state educational regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently throughout the school year contract.
