Lead carpenter
Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Carpenter/Installer to join our team, focusing on the installation of folding glass doors, as well as glass walls and folding windows. This role involves building sunroom additions and decks, and requires the ability to lift heavy objects. This position does require experience in these areas. You will lead a small crew and travel to various job sites around Michigan. This is a year-round position.
Key Responsibilities
- Install folding glass doors, windows, and other related fixtures.
- Assist in the construction of sunroom additions and decks.
- Lead and manage a small crew effectively.
- Ensure attention to detail in all installations.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in carpentry.
- Experience installing doors and windows.
- Strong work ethic and dedication to quality.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions. This is a year-round position so you will be working both inside and outside during all seasons.
- Willingness to commute to Oxford, MI. (Must live within a 45 minute commute range). We work on jobs all over southeastern Michigan.

Summary
As a Lead Carpenter/Installer, you will be a vital member of our installation team, using your expertise in hand tools, construction, carpentry, and power tools to deliver high-quality projects. Your skills in construction estimating, trim carpentry, and frame carpentry will be essential for ensuring precision and efficiency in your work. You will be responsible for installing folding glass doors and sunrooms, along with other tasks that require your knowledge of construction site management, blueprint reading, and concrete forming. Your contributions will make you an invaluable asset in providing exceptional craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
