Medical Assistant – Family Medicine
Location: Clinton Township MI 48038
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay: $18–$20/hour-Biweekly pay
- Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Weds: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Setting: Outpatient / Family Medicine

Key Responsibilities For Medical Assistant (MA):
- Perform patient intake, including vital signs and medical history documentation in the EHR
- Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and treatments
- Assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures
- Administer medications and immunizations per protocol and document accurately
- Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing
- Conduct EKGs and other diagnostic testing as needed
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone, portal messages, and other communication channels
- Schedule appointments, referrals, and outpatient procedures
- Obtain insurance authorizations and process medication refills per protocol
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers
To qualify, Medical Assistants (MA) must meet one of the following:
- High School Diploma - Required
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with at least 1 year of recent clinical experience within the past 5 years – Required
- Experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Required
- EPIC experience highly preferred
