Job Summary: The Fabricator I (Metal) will cut materials to size and shape and weld metal using hand tools and equipment such as band saws, material brakes, and material shears. The role will provide welding support for the garage shop services teams. The Fabricator I (Metal) will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Weld instrumentation, exhaust tubes, and bosses.
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with sanding disk and wire brushes to remove impurities
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No previous experience required.
- Basic knowledge and ability to Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) or Metal Inert Gas (MIG) weld.
- Good communication skills and detail oriented.
- Knowledge to safely operate and use the Plasma cutter and Oxy-Fuel torch to cut out
