Job Summary
We are a family-owned excavating company seeking a dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This full-time position involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of heavy equipment and trucks to keep our operations running safely and efficiently. Some experience is preferred, but we value a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and company vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely
- Keep accurate maintenance and repair records
- Work with operators and management to address equipment concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Equipment May Include
- Excavators
- Loaders
- Dozers
- Skid steers
- Dump trucks and support vehicles
Qualifications
- Some experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic preferred
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid drivers license required
