Position Summary:

We are looking for a proactive, organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment with experience in the fields of Guardianship, Conservatorship, and/or Case Management. You will be responsible for helping manage client files and providing administrative support to our fiduciary & legal staff. We are looking for a candidate who can work independently as well as collaboratively with our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft correspondence and legal documents; assist with court filings.

• Handle incoming phone calls and emails with professionalism and empathy.

• Maintain and update client records and case files.

• Provide general administrative support to fiduciary and legal staff.

• Coordinate with team members and outside agencies as needed.

• Assist with time tracking and billing.

• Support compliance and documentation requirements.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, and Outlook.

• 1+ years’ experience in time tracking systems administration.

• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

• High level of discretion, reliability, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience in a fiduciary, legal, or social services office.

• Familiarity with court procedures and filings.

• Timeslips Experience.

• Background in working with vulnerable populations (elderly, special needs, etc.)

The New Foster Care non-profit organization based out of Oakland County, launched in 2016. Our focus is to 1) assist young people with experience in foster care to positively change the trajectory of their lives; and 2) positively impact the foster care system that serves them by advocating for innovative programming and policy and legislative reform.

Youth with experience in foster care often face a challenging path to success as they transition to adulthood. We provide direct services to such youth through our 'Bridge Program', a comprehensive transitional support model serving young people ages 14 to 29. Youth enrolled in our program are assigned a Multisystemic Navigator who assists them to develop and implement a sustainable plan for their future success along five transition domains: employment and career, educational opportunity, living situation, community life functioning, and personal effectiveness and wellbeing.
