Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Welders/Fabricators for projects located in Grand Rapids, MI . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $20-28/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Welder/Fabricator eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!

Job Scope:

• Operate metal working machines such as; shears, brakes, punches and drill presses
• Cut, bend, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
• Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and similar equipment
• Fabricating products such as; ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, partition frames, dust collecting piping and material handling systems
• Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
• Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment

Responsibilities

• Must be able to travel when needed
• MIG welding is a must
• Must have basic hand tools
• Must have strong math skills
• Must have weld fabrication experience with sheet metal and structural welding
• TIG/Stick welding experience is a plus
• Must be able to pass a weld test and blueprints reading test
