Real Estate Legal Assistant
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Real Estate Legal Assistantto join our client and support a busy legal team by ensuring smooth execution of real estate and lending transactions. In this role, you will help drive efficient closings, maintain organized documentation, and provide high level administrative support to attorneys. This position requires strong coordination skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. This is a direct-hire, 100% onsite opportunity based in Chicago, IL.
Compensation:
$32–$45/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Real Estate Legal Assistant:
- Support all phases of commercial real estate and loan transactions by coordinating communications, timelines, and document flow across internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare, assemble, and review closing packages and other legal documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and readiness for execution.
- Assist attorneys by drafting correspondence, managing due diligence materials, and helping address issues that arise during the transactional process.
- Maintain comprehensive electronic and physical matter files, oversee conflict check submissions, and ensure accurate data entry and recordkeeping.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings and travel, and handle reimbursement requests and client-facing administrative tasks.
Qualifications and Skills for the Real Estate Legal Assistant:
- 2–3+ years of experience in a legal support, paralegal, or transactional administrative role.
- Paralegal certificate or related education preferred; equivalent hands on experience also valued.
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills with the ability to use sound judgment in a deadline driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems, with comfort handling both digital and paper documentation.
- Collaborative mindset with high attention to detail and the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and external partners.
