A Day on the Job Summary:

A CCD Cook is responsible for executing high-quality food preparation and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. This role supports a positive kitchen culture by upholding established service standards, contributing to team collaboration, and continuously developing culinary skills.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Uphold and contribute to a positive work culture by aligning daily performance with the kitchen’s vision, standards, and established service guarantees
  • Organize and manage station responsibilities, ensuring readiness for daily and weekly operations, including:
  • Preparing and maintaining daily mis en place for service.
  • Cooking menu items accurately according to established recipes, standards, and guest preferences.
  • Executing food preparation and service within designated time standards.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Communicating effectively and proactively with team members across all kitchen functions.
  • Actively develop culinary skills, including cooking techniques and flavor profiles.
  • Contribute to menu innovation through participation in feature dishes and idea development.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth toward advancement opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Support a collaborative and respectful team environment.

Requirements:

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong professional communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and decision-making capabilities.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent stooping, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and carrying.
  • Ability to perform in a physically demanding, high-energy kitchen environment.
