PCU RN Job Details – Jackson, MI

• Location: Jackson, MI 49201 – Ideal for nurses seeking Michigan healthcare jobs in a friendly city with access to parks, dining, and cultural attractions.
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical ICU
• Position Type: Locum tenens / Travel RN contract
• Start Date: September 9, 2025
• End Date: January 3, 2026
• Assignment Length: 17 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7PM - 7AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Hourly Pay Rate: $50-$65/hr
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1900-$1950/week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan (required for Michigan nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry nursing
• Proficient in administering medication drips and critical care interventions
• ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Progressive Care Unit and Medical ICU
• Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and education for patients and families
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Participate in problem-solving and implement solutions to achieve patient care goals
• Maintain proficiency in medication drips and advanced clinical interventions
