GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Senior Secretary and/or Program Supervisor; performs receptionist work involving answering the telephone, greeting the public, handling inquires to determine the nature of business, directing individuals to the appropriate destination(s), provide general clerical and project support; performs related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduation or equivalent, AND three months receptionist or related experience and/or training; which includes using an electronic appointment system.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Will be required to sit for extended periods of time. May be required to alter scheduled work hours as necessary to provide receptionist duties. Will be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with assistance.

Essential Physical Demands:

• Vision – Position requires the ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Hearing – Position requires the ability to receive and respond to verbal communication with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Lifting, Standing, and Walking With or Without Reasonable Accommodations:
  • Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis
  • Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time
  • Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%
• Position will require the ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks with or without reasonable accommodation
• Position must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.

Could be asked to cover other shifts (M-F 7:30 am- 4:30 pm or 8:00 am- 5:00 pm or Monday- Thursday 9:00 am- 6:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm)
