CNC Operator

Overview

Join our dynamic team in Indiana as a CNC Operator! We are looking for skilled individuals who are passionate about precision machining and thrives in a collaborative environment. As a CNC Operator, you will set up and operate vertical and horizontal mills in high-volume production.

Project Specs:

• 4 Month Duration
• $30/hr
• 50hrs/week GUARANTEED
• $45/day per diem (tax-free), 7 days a week
• Private hotel accommodations (we handle the booking)
• Must have ITAR Documentation
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• References required

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC 2- and 3-axis mills to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
• Required to check coolant using a refractometer and perform general housekeeping.
• Must inspect certain frequencies based upon a control doc/inspection sheet. Frequency, features, tolerance, and tool to use is all provided.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as necessary to maintain product quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role.

• Experience using Haas with Haas controls, Mazak, Mazatrol

• Proficient in G-Code

• Operating a 1T overhead crane (pendant controlled) and a pallet jack

• Tools used: bore gauges, plug gauges, go no/go gauges, calipers, tapes, and other functional gauges. No micrometers are used.

• Strong understanding of CNC machinery and programming.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary
