Float Customer Service Representative (Entry-Level) – Ferndale-Based

Location: Home base in Ferndale, MI

Travel Required: Will float to Detroit, Madison Heights, and potentially Warren

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am–4:30pm

We are seeking a dependable and adaptable Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support multiple clinic locations. This is an entry-level role with full training provided at the Ferndale location. The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling between sites and working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

• Answer incoming calls and assist patients with insurance, product eligibility, and cost inquiries
• Coordinate clinical staff schedules
• Verify insurance and obtain authorizations/referrals
• Process orders and maintain order status
• Discharge patients and manage medical records
• Prep documents for imaging
• Provide face-to-face customer service
• Support patients of all ages, including those receiving prosthetics, orthotics, and mastectomy care

• Mileage reimbursed at $0.70 per mile for travel to/from assigned locations and during the workday
• Travel time begins once driving to the assigned location
• Must be willing to use personal vehicle for work-related travel
• Declaration page of auto insurance must be submitted prior to resume submission
• Must have a valid MI driver’s license , reliable vehicle , and clean driving record

• Ability to handle emotionally challenging conversations
• Willingness to travel and adapt quickly to changing assignments
• Positive attitude and pleasant demeanor
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems
• Clean driving record and current auto insurance

Nice-to-Haves:

• Medical or insurance customer service experience
• Experience in the DME (Durable Medical Equipment) industry
• Face-to-face customer service experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
