*Position Duties: * Conduct all activities required for validation & verification (V&V) of products and contained system, mechanical, E/E or software elements as assigned. Develop and implement a suitable verification and validation strategy at the defined integration levels based on given standards. Develop and implement verification and validation activities in accordance with given standards (including Testing of virtual or physical objects, static analyses, simulation). Exchange development-related information and collaborate with internal/external development partners (e.g. system, E/E- or software development), providers of equipment and tools (e.g. test rigs, test environment for MIL-, SIL-, PIL-, HIL-tests), or customers. Apply given verification or validation processes (e.g. ISTQB Foundation Level). Lead the setup of test environment (e.g. test setup, sensors) and assure consistency to specification. Create test specifications including test sequences. Realize subject-specific tests including associated test environments and test automation. Execute test activities and monitor the test conditions and the test objects according to the test specification. Document test execution and storage of test data. Evaluate test results (e.g. data analysis). Ensure bi-directional traceability and consistency of requirements, test cases and test results. Identify and communicate the test progress and status of the test environment. Create and communicate the test results, in particular deviations, abnormalities and product limits. Create test Reports. Support V&V Strategy and DVP. Lead the development of detailed planning (time, cost, quality) for V&V activities (DVP) and communicate DVP. Lead development for test rigs and setups according to the needs of test specifications. Mentor and support other less experienced test engineers as required.

Minimum Requirements:** Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered, as a Test Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Test Lead, or a related position. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Testing of vehicle components; Test methods, including Boundary Value analysis, Equivalence partitioning, and State Transition Testing; Measuring equipment, test environments, and testing tools including Vector CANoe, Vector CANape, NI MAX, Control Desk, Automation Desk, Configuration Desk, MATLAB, and Simulink; Programming skills including Python, C++, and CAPL; Statistical methods for evaluation; Presenting engineering topics related to various vehicle components and moderating discussions; Solving engineering problems related to various vehicle components; and Continuous improvement approach. Travel required up to 10% to various and unanticipated Schaeffler sites, domestic and international.
