Senior IT Engineer - System & Network Administration (Bilingual-Korean)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Engineer to join our IT department. This role will primarily focus on system administration , with additional responsibilities in network administration , particularly in firewall configuration and management . The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background and a passion for maintaining secure, efficient, and scalable IT infrastructure.

Job Description

• Manage and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core infrastructure services.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) and VPNs.
• Collaborate with the network team to ensure secure and optimized network connectivity.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.
• Provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues.
• Participate in IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and security initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in system administration, with exposure to network/firewall administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with firewall configuration and network security.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with monitoring tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, RHCE, CCNA, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual (English/Korean)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Knowledge of ITIL practices.
• Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune).
• Understanding of Zero Trust and modern security frameworks.
