Job Title: Quality Technician
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: $21/hr
Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift both available
Responsibilities- Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured components and assemblies
- Inspect incoming materials to verify conformance to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards
- Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and fixtures
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify non-conforming material and initiate corrective actions
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
- Assist with audits, PPAPs, and customer quality requirements as needed
- Communicate quality issues clearly with production and engineering teams
- Follow all company safety, quality, and ISO procedures
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
- Previous quality inspection or quality technician experience in manufacturing
- Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T
- Experience using measuring and inspection tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs
- Experience in automotive or furniture manufacturing
- Familiarity with ISO/IATF quality systems
- Experience with PPAP, SPC, and corrective action processes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
