Maintenance Assistant

Hagopian is seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant to join their team in Oak Park, MI. We have a large fleet of vehicles as well as equipment and machinery. We also have multiple locations with buildings and infrastructure needs to address. The position we are looking to fill is a unique job in that we do a bit of everything, and we do a lot of multi-tasking, does this appeals to you? If so, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN.

• Diagnose and repair failures of vehicles, equipment, machinery and facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns.
• Keep accurate records of work performed.
• Perform necessary repairs at customer’s locations.
• Keep work areas clean, neat and safe.
• Perform weekly vehicle inspections.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
• Some carpentry, electrical. Plumbing, welding, painting as well as vehicle repair.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED AS OUR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN. 

• Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record as well as pass a background check and D.O.T Physical.
• Able to work a schedule that involves local travel to various locations.
• Ability to use and function in an environment that uses commercial cleaning solvents.
• Ability to follow safe work practices, proper lifting techniques & wear protective equipment.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist and reach; lift objects greater than 50 pounds w/assistance.
• Possess sufficient hearing and vision to perform the functions of this position.
