Salary Range: $44,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment according to work orders and specifications.
• Load and adjust NC programs, optimizing parameters such as spark gap, pulse duration, and amperage.
• Monitor machine operation, ensuring consistent performance and identifying potential issues or deviations.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on EDM machines, including cleaning, electrode changes, and fluid checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms, process errors, or quality discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate production records, quality logs, and maintenance reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating and setting up Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for machine setup, tooling, and basic troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality control, precision, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Basic understanding of G-code or specific EDM machine programming/controls.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with other CNC machining technologies (e.g., milling, turning, grinding)
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for programming or simulation
• Familiarity with CMM operation or advanced metrology techniques
• Basic electrical or mechanical maintenance experience for machine upkeep
