Job Details – Med/Surg Tele RN

• Location: Allegan, Michigan 49010
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/18/2025 – 11/17/2025)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Unit (ACU) – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770–$1820
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Holiday Requirement: Christmas Day (07:00 – 19:30)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Charting System: Paragon (Cerner experience required)
• Scrub Color: Any

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (or willingness to participate in licensure project)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; CPI preferred
• Cerner charting experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from Allegan, MI (no local candidates)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start modules
• Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred

RN Responsibilities – Med/Surg Telemetry

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform phlebotomy as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as COPD, CHF, pneumonia, AKI, cellulitis, and more
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on census
• Maintain accurate documentation using Paragon/Cerner EHR
• Participate in orientation and complete required training modules prior to start
