We are looking for a talented Equipment Validation Technician who will be responsible for performing the checkout, startup, and commissioning of industrial test stands and dynamometers and ensure that machines are calibrated and fully functional to meet Customer specifications. Main Responsibilities: - Perform functional checkout and performance verification for equipment.
- Inspect and test all machine subsystems to ensure functionality as required.
- Troubleshoot electro-mechanical, instrumentation and data acquisition systems following machine operational procedures.
- Responsible for performing equipment calibration to ISO 17025 standards.
- Update proper documentation in startup workbook to keep a record as required.
- Perform checkout on Customer equipment upgrades to meet specifications.
- Learn to update and test control systems utilizing ProLINK software.
- Demonstrate machine operation to Customer at pre-acceptance process.
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
- All other related duties as assigned.
- Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.

Qualifications: - Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics or a related engineering area; equivalent related work experience also acceptable in lieu of education.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience commissioning and repairing industrial machines.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Exceptional troubleshooting skills with an emphasis on root cause analysis to determine causes of operating errors.
- Moderate level of soldering and de-soldering skills.
- Proven experience with writing or de-bugging existing software script style languages (a plus)
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical principles.
- Fundamental knowledge of relay logic, PLC control, various feedback sensors and transducers, AC and DC motor and drive controllers, pneumatic and hydraulic components, closed loop PID controls, and various electro-mechanical devices preferred.
- Proven knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Proven knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Proven knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Able to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
- Able to travel up to 10% domestically.
